Reading a chart - very basic questions!

Hi - I am making the Little Star sweater and have the chart all nicely drawn out in front of me. I would be eternally grateful if someone could just tell me:

  1. do I read RS rows right to left and WS rows left to right, or is it the other way round???

  2. Do I start at the top of the chart or at the bottom???

Sorry to be so dim but am scared to start and then make a mess of it!!

Knit rows from right to left. Purl rows from left to right. :slight_smile:

ETA: Start at the bottom of the chart & work up.
