Hi. I am making the top below and have sewn one shoulder seam and am now at the neck stage. I have the front neck stitches on one stitch holder and the back neck stitches on another. Do I now put all stitches onto one needle and knit four rows as per the pattern (and then join the front and back by sewing them together to create just one seam). The pattern states to sew the ends of the neck, which infers there will be a neck seam at either end so do I treat the stitches for the front neck separately to the back and knit the four rows of garter stitch on first one side and then the other? x https://www.weareknitters.co.uk/…/inte…/blanca-julep-tee
The pattern wants you to seam one shoulder then pick up all the stitches around the neck to work in garter stitch. Once you’ve cast off, seam the open shoulder and neckband in one continuous seam.
Very pretty top!
Thank you so much, you knitting angel xx So, can I just confirm that I pop all the stitches (for both front and back of the neck) onto one needle and then knit four rows of garter stitch? It is a lovely top and beautiful drapey light yarn x
Yes, that’s it exactly. We’d love to see the finished top if you’d like to post a photo.
Oh thank you! You are such a poppet! You have absolutely no idea how grateful I am for your help. It is the difference between completing a project - or it just sitting in a bag in the wardrobe. Thank you! I will post a photo once completed (also finishing a gazillion other projects at the same time) x
