I finally finished my Rainbow Warrior Cowl - it has been my project while recuperating from cataract surgery (which followed hip replacement surgery) and then recovering from Bell’s Palsy incident two weeks ago. Holy moly - once again, knitting has saved my sanity!
salmonmac,
Recovery is slower than I would like and I had to cancel a trip to Ireland with my daughter after the Bell’s Palsy incident (I thought I was having a stroke, so this outcome was fabulous) so my projects are literally helping me with the emotional impact of all that stuff. I can’t wait to show you all my progress with the Butterfly Papillon shawl. I plan to wear it when we DO travel to Ireland sometime next year
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement!
Claudia1, I’m so sorry to hear of all your issues.
Creations said it perfectly — Warrior cowl for a warrior.
You have been beset by more than your fair share of setbacks. But your knitting is lovely, and your keep-at-it spirit is great. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other, metaphorically as well as physically.
Lihn,
I really appreciate your kind words - and you’re right: Creations said it perfectly!
Knitting has been my zen practice for about 10 years now and I never stop marveling at the fun, the challenges and the constant learning; new skills and new understanding of my own strengths and areas I can improve. Thank you so much for your encouragement!
The Rainbow Warrior Cowl sounds like such a fun project! I love the idea of incorporating so many vibrant colors—it must look amazing once it’s finished. The texture and stitch pattern can make it extra special too.
