I have a quick question about a pattern. This seems really simple, but I want to make sure I understand! The instructions say:
Dec 1 on every other row total of 18 times.
This makes sense, but the dec tips say to only dec on the RS. So, my question is: do I dec on literally every other row (which is really every RS), or only on every other RS?

Always include a pattern link when possible when asking questions. It helps us help you. 
Based on what you’ve written I’d say yes, decrease every RS row. That would be every other row.

It’s a Drops pattern for a cardigan. The decreasing tips are at the beginning, which explain the actual dec stitch, but the instructions in both the back and front pieces say to dec “every other row.”
