I am working on the Sadie sweater and have encountered a question so far: my front panel has reached 72 rows for size 2XL in the pattern, but my length only measures approx. 25 cm, while the pattern says I should have about 33 cm. My gauge is correct and my back panel has the correct number of rows and length.
So my question is: the length of the front panel should be measured from the centre of the neckline, right?
In this case, should I to continue knitting until the front panel reaches 33 cm?
Many thanks!

It may be that your stitch gauge is correct but your row gauge is off. This is common and usually doesn’t matter since patterns have you knit to a given measurement rather than row number. You can check the row gauge on the portion you’ve knit so far just as a matter of information.
What would be important is that the armholes occur at the same measurement if there is an armhole bind off. From there, the body should match the back to the hem. If it takes more rows, then keep knitting until the front matches the back at 33cm.
Very pretty, classic!

Thank you!
What do you mean by " the armholes occur at the same measurement if there is an armhole bind off"?
To make my progress a bit clearer:
I started knitting the back with German Short Rows to create a curved back foundation, ended at the back panel measuring 31cm.
Then I knitted the right front and the left front, joined them and continued to knit. The front supposed to be 33 cm, but now I only have 25 cm.
My guess is that I should continue to knit until my front panel reaches 33 cm, so that when I join the back and the front together, the armhole is large enough for me to pick up stitches to create a nice oversized fit?

Yes, you’re correct. Assuming the join of front and back is at the shoulder line (not offset to the back or front) you need the front and back measured from the shoulders to be the same length to the join of front and back. Best to keep knitting until you have that length.
Is your row gauge as given in the pattern (30 rows to 4 inches)? Often row gauge isn’t spot on but as long a stitch gauge is, you proceed with the pattern.

I see that the designer has responded to questions in comments on Ravelry. There is at least one comment about the patterns she does being confusing. If you post a question in the comments you night get a reply.

I don’t have the answer as to what the measurement should be but thought this pic may help.
The back shoulders are perhaps somewhat set back, is it a european shoulder?
Measurement from the shoulder is a bit tricky due to the angle of the join from shoulder to neck.
In any case i wouldn’t be measuring from front neck (unless the pattern explicitly says to do so) as this has shaping which makes it measure shorter than it really is.
Eurpoean shoulders have longer front pieces as the ‘seam’ sits further backwards, not mid way.

It may also help to try this on and see where the shoulder sits. Then you can mark that line and measure from there down the back and front.
