So, I started these…

and I have a question about the pattern. I’ve finished the ribbing and about to start the leg and right from the get go I’m confused.
[Yo, k2tog, (p1, k1 tbl) five times] to end of round. (The sequence will be repeated twice for each needle, or 6 times in total.)
How do you YO at the beginning of a round?

You come under the yarn from the back and keep knitting. Does that make sense?

There is a Knit Along on these socks if you want to check that out. I started these, and I found that if I had the yarn in front and did the k2tog, I got the YO at the beginning of the round.
Or you can slip the stitches over by a few and do the yo on the needle.

So just go into the k2 together with the yarn in front and that creates the YO?
