Greetings to one and all!!!
I’ve been looking at a pattern for a Waterfall Throw on the LB website and it uses 2 strands of Homespun together. Just wondering if I could substitute it with 1 strand of the thick & quick version. I think that would make for easier knitting, instead of trying to keep track of the 2 strands. Let me know what you think!
Thanks!

Which yarn do you have in mind? Is it a Homespun? You can look at the different projects people have posted and check the yarns that were used. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/waterfall-throw-knit Those are really big needles.
Homespun knits at 14sts/4" and Homespun T&Q at about 8sts/4". Plain old T&Q knits at about 9sts/4".
The pattern is calling for slightly more than 5sts/4" so you may have to add onto the cast on to get the size you want if you only6 use one of the Thick & Quick yarns. I have heard that the Homespun is not so easy to knit with but I haven’t tried it myself.
Alternatively, it’s not really difficult to knit with two strands of yarn. Keep the skeins separate and don’t try to wind them together (wouldn’t that be a giant skein of yarn!).
