I eventually got back to my purple cardigan project after some absence and am just one short row short of completing the right front. That leaves the left front, the sleeves and the making up. I hope that doesn’t take another 3 years to accomplish lol.
Good for you on not giving up! Arans need plenty of time and patience. I used to knit a row or 2 of Aran patterns that my mother was knitting when I was a child, because I loved the variety of stitches, but haven’t knit a complete one myself. Some day I will.
Try not to worry about how long it takes you to knit it as long as you remeber to enjoy knitting it.
Set yourself posible goals such as: a row a day, or two rows a week.
I also found it very convenient to leave my WIPs out and within hands’ reach. Everytime that I wait for my daughter to come and let me brush her hair, get in her room, etc. I grab my knitting and do a few stitches.
Thanks for the encouragement, Tamar! Excellent tip, too. I have been trying to do a little bit when the opportunity arises - just now, at breakfast, I knit a few rows in between sips of tea. Only thing is, it’s not the purple cardi! Today I will work a few rows of that.
I have no camera atm - lost it in Brighton - but will see what I can do about a photo - I have the old-fashioned kind of camera which I might hoke out, then just scan the photo.
