"PSP" Slipping Problem

I’m working on a lace pattern from knitty.com and one stitch, called psp, requires me to P1, then “slip this stitch back to left needle, then pass the second stitch over the first stitch.”

Am I just moving that 2nd stitch, then purling it and the one I already purled? Or am I moving the 2nd to the right needle?

Thanks!!

I’d have to see the pattern to be certain. Is there a link to it? If not, can you write out exactly what the pattern reads in the definitions section for PSP?

here’s the link to the pattern: http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/KSPalette.html

the directions read: PSP (Purl, Slip, Pass stitch over): P1, slip this stitch back to left needle, pass second stitch on left needle over first stitch.

Ok got it. Once you pass the second stitch over the first you then do the next step in the pattern repeat which would be a YO, then P2, then PSP again. You just repeat what’s in the brackets.

Purl 1 then put it back on the left needle and pass the next st on the same needle over it and put that st onto the right needle. It’s a bit like ssp which looks like ssk or skp on the knit side.

Thank you!!
