I am knitting a poncho which is in moss stitch. Every other row I need to decrease. This is a sort of mitered square type shawl. I am familiar with the usual knit 2 together for a right slanting decrease, and then the SSK for a left slanting decrease. I like Amy’s improved SSK. Ok, so my problem is this: I need to do a left slanting decrease over the next two stitches which happen to be a purl stitch, then a knit stitch. Which would you do? Or am I obsessing??
Well if you’re looking to do a purl stitch, then do a SSP, then knit 2 together. I wouldn’t think that you’re obsessing, you want it to look right, or more specifically be right. so I wouldn’t worry about obsessing over this.
