Probably a dumb question, but when finishing the top of a hat, help with the decreases please

I can get it off the regular needles onto the DPNs, I can do the decreases, but once I get down to a few stitches on each DPN I’m lost. What do I do?

There are no dumb questions, we all had to learn sometime. :slight_smile:

When you get down to a few stitches on each needle cut the yarn about 8 inches long or so and put it on a yarn needle. Thread the yarn through the remaining loops and remove the needles. Cinch it up and thread it through again then weave in the end. :thumbsup:
