I learned to knit this past November :XX:
and I knit this with no pattern
just an understanding of how the stitches work etc.

Wow! You are good!
you need to make your own pattern for that my niece would love it
It’s certainly not sinful around here to be proud of your work! Great job. I think I’m more of a pattern slave, myself.
ECB, that’s adorable! I’d be proud too.
Is Princess Abbie named after anyone?
Wow, that is cool!
the name was Abbie after the daughter of a friend
one of the CUTES babies I have ever seen (next to my own that is)
my Youngest kid added the Princess part
as I was halfway through it, I decided to Donate it to the School auction (a fund raiser for the Scollarships)
so she is no longer mine
one of the kids at school wrote me the SWEETEST note asking me to make 2 for the auction so she and her twin sister could each have one
"If it would not be too Bossy to ask"
so I M trying to make another
but the second is not as much fun as the first

Cuuuute!!
Wow - you must have a real feel for design as well as knitting to make an awsome doll like that with no pattern. I wouldn’t know where to start without a pattern. You should be proud. :cheering:
I looked at a few patterns, but they were all done flat and needed to be sewn :crying:
Abbie was done with DPN :XX:
Head was a ball, the rest of the shaping came from Marans illustrated stitch guide
arms and legs started at toes/finger ends, and worked up to Connection at the body and sewn in place :happydance:
shaped Ichords basically, the Thumb was a single stitch Ichord twisted and worked back in
heel/ankles, :cheering: knees and elbows were just short rows
clothes just kinda worked out
the underwear was from a book
but the booties were freestyle (took many tries to get them to work out) :crying:
again Ichord (with increases), but with knit on one side, and purl on the other, then split and short rows  (big headache, but I can do it again if I need to)
I am very proud of her and myself
but it all kinda just fell together
