Poppy tee

Hello- I don’t know if I am knitting this part of the yoke correctly, please advise. The photo shows the circular needle on which I have placed the resting stitches from the back of the yolk or back of the tee and down on the left as you’re looking at the knitted piece. I’ve gone down the continuous shoulder, picked up stitches, and now I’m not sure where I need to go from here. The pattern indicates that you should begin on the left shoulder. Is that the left shoulder" refer to the shoulder when the sweater is worn, or to the sweater as I’m looking at it in the photo? I actually started knitting from what I thought was the left shoulder when the sweater is worn. Knitted across the back, picked up stitches for the continuous sleeve outlined by markers, and went down the shoulder panel, the right shoulder panel (when shoulder is worn) Now I’m unsure as to how to proceed to do the same on the opposite side before I purl, and distribute stitches, to eventually join the back with the front. Thank you for your help.

It’s looking lovely so far. Yes, the left and right shoulders are as you would wear the sweater.

Knit to the armhole edge of the left shoulder (blue arrow, 1) making the increase and decrease indicated. Pick up and knit 20sts from the side of the left shoulder and then work across the held back sts with indicated decreases (blue arrow 2). Then pick up sts down the right shoulder ending with knitting across the right shoulder sts with decrease and increase.

Thank you so much for your quick response and expert guidance! You are an angel and a lifesaver; I can’t begin to thank you enough.
Best wishes always!

You’re welcome. Petite Knits patterns are always very detailed and well done. Have fun working the rest and come back with any questions.
