(K1, P1, K1) all into front of next st simply means to K1 as normal, but do NOT slide the st off the LN yet. Bring the yarn to the front in prep for a purl, then P1. Do not slide st off LN yet. Bring yarn to the back in prep for another knit - and K1. Finally, you can slide that st off of the LN. Hope that helps.

thanks that does but what does it mean wrong side facing

It’s odd that is says wrong side facing because usually popcorn is done on the Right side. I’ve done lots of Aran sweaters and afghans and I’ve never done popcorn on the wrong side.

Is the pattern online so we can read the whole thing?

This has me INTRIGUED :??

There is a popcorn stitch on I think the GAAA which tells you to make the popcorn on the wrong side. Then you push it through to the right side. Makes it less floppy, it guess.

thanks, still a bit confused, i am going to try and get someone to show me in person so i can btter understand thanks for your help though
