Picovoli Too Short

So I finished my picovoli and love it. I created a seed stitch hem to prevent curling and it looks great. Except that it’s too short and hits me very high on the hip. It looks just like it’s supposed to–I just don’t like mine that short. Of course, I BO’d before I tried it on (lazy, I know).

I used Debbie Bliss Cathay. I imagine my picovoli will stretch a bit, but not that much right? I’m looking to increase the length by at least an inch or two.

Now, I think I will use a method described in Stitch N Bitch Handbook to rip the hem out and add more stockinette rows before the hem. I need to review the book again, but I think it was using a needle to weave into the stockinette to grab all the stitches, then rip away! Anyone have a better idea on how I can increase the length? Un-knitting each stitch, row by row, will take forever.

This might be helpful.

Also, on this page under ‘Fixing Mistakes’ you will find ‘Inserting a needle into destination row, before unraveling’. The sample is shown on a flat piece of knitting but the same can be done with a piece in the round. Just make sure you start at the beginning of the round and pick up all the way around staying in the same row - if done properly, when you make it to the end of the round the row of stitches will appear to be one row higher than where you started but this is how it should look, you’ve been knitting in a spiral.

Sorry your Pic is too short! I’ve used the ‘destination row’ method that KQ suggested and it works like a charm.
