Pattern Stitch

Hi Everyone, I have just started with knitting and am still unsure of the abbreviations used. I have downloaded a baby cable blanket pattern from freepatterns.com and am not quite sure of the following: Row 3 of the Pattern Stitch says : P2,*sl1,k2,psso,p2, rep from * across. I would like to know, after I slipped the 1 stitch, do I knit the following 2 stitches ‘together’ or do I knit each one seperately? I’m also not sure about the ‘psso’ part if I do the latter?
Thanks!

It looks as though the k2 are knit separately. You would pass the slip stitch over both of them.

You may already know this, but just wanted to point out that when you pass the slipped stitch over, you will drop it off your needle. That confused me when I was new and I had to restart many times before I figured it out!
