Pattern ?- repeat from*, but no # of repeats listed?

Hi guys. I’m just learning this stuff, and am working on my first socks. I’ve just gotten to the heel portion.

The pattern says:
Row 1 (knit row): Sl 1, *k1, Sl 1 knitwise, repeat from *, ending row with k 1-24 stitches.

Row 2 (purl row): Sl 1, p to last st from end, k last stitch.

Repeat both rows ten times.

My question is about Row 1.

Do I a) slip the first stitch, then knit. then slip, then knit, slip, knit, slip, knit, to the end of the row?
or
b) slip the first stich, then knit the rest of the row?

There are only 24 stitches on the row!
:??

Thank you in advance! b

slip, knit, slip, knit across all 24 stitches.

You have to do a)

s,k,s,k all the way across the 24 sts. Then, on the purl side, slip one and purl across.

Thank you very much!

So then on the next row, I’ll be working the slipped stitches- purling all the way across, right?

Yes, on row 2 you slip the first stitch only, then purl all the stitches including the slipped ones from the previous row.
