I am not understanding the instruction for this part of the pattern: work increase row: K2, M1, *knit to one st before marker, m1, k2, m1; repeat from *two more times, knit until one st remains, m1, k1

Is it asking for the increases only and prior to the markers?
Their are 3 markers but the last part of the instruction is what I am finding more difficult.

Knit the first 2 sts and m1; knit to 1 st before the first marker, m1, k1, slip the marker to the right needle and k1, m1. Knit to 1 st before the 2nd marker and do the same thing again, and repeat for the 3rd marker. When you have one st remaining, m1 then knit the last stitch.
