In pattern 4650 King Cole .. a baby dress.. the instructions for the FRONT are to work as given for BACK until 28 rows less have been worked than on back to start of Shoulder Shaping??
Not sure exactly where that means.. I presume I have to Shape the Armholes?? Has anyone does this pattern before??

One way to work this out is to look to the pattern row gauge. Twenty-eight rows is 4inches or 10cm. Lay the back out flat and measure 4 inches down from the beginning of the shoulder bind offs (usually at the armhole edge). Mark that row with a stitch marker. While knitting the front, work to the equivalent point on the front. That’s where maybe the neck shaping? starts.
You can keep the back available to measure against the front and check when you get to the marked row.
Yes, you’re correct. This probably means shape the armholes as the marked row will likely fall above the armholes and nearer the shoulders.
