Pattern issue

Hello. My first post on this forum. I have a pattern from Hayfield and I’m normally quite competent with knitting but this has me flummoxed! It’s a ladies jumper and this part just does not add up to me when I work out these figures!! Reading the next part doesn’t make sense either

Can anyone help please? Thank you. Lynne

Hello
Can you give us a bit more info please?
Which pattern name/number is it?
Also what is it that’s stumping you? Stitch count for these rows? If so can you tell us what the stitch count is at the start of the section, and which size you are working (first, second, third, etc).

Someone is bound to be able to help.

Welcome to the forum!
Which size are you making? There’s a mistake in row 1 the smallest size and also in rows 2 and 3 for the 2nd size.

Hi. Thank you all for your replies. Stitch count is 121 and I’m knitting the medium which is the second size in. How do I rectify the multiple errors with this pattern. I’ve attached photos if it helps. Thank you

Wow, just reading through those numbers more closely I am amazed this pattern went to print. It looks like every size and row has errors.

I’m sure salmonmac will work some magic here and get you through this mess.

Oh Wow! Thanks for this. I think I’ll sit tight until I get more information and can get my head around what I should do.

OK, I think I see a way to correct this but I need to put it on the needles to make sure that the pattern survives intact. It looks like changes to the first 3 rows may do it but I’d like to be sure.

This works with 121sts. I’ve left out the repeats and only written the beginning and end sts.
Row 1 begins with K4, Cr2L, p1, and ends with k4
Row 2 Begins with P4 and ends with k1, ptbl, k1, p4
Row 3 begins with K4, p1, Cr2L and ends with k4
Row 4 begins with P4, and ends with p1tbl, k2, p4

Try that out on a small swatch with something like 22 or 33sts just to make sure it makes sense.
There’s always 4sts at the beginning and end of row in stockinette. The cable twist should work leaning left but check to make sure.
