I have decided to make myself a pair of fingerless mitts and have found a really neat stitch I want to use. However, the stitch is worked on 26 stitches and I need three more than that in order for them to fit me properly. Any advice on this?
Does the stitch pattern allow for seam allowance? If not then I would add two stitches on each end of your row. Good luck and happy knitting!
I just got the Barbara Walker 2nd Treasury of Patterns and I really like the Dragon Scales pattern. It doesn’t take seam into consideration but I was hoping to be able to knit it in the round…:S
You could put two rows of stockinette up the sides of the hands and add 4–call it a design.
Or maybe you can get away with the pattern with larger needles?
The dragonskin pattern is 2 sets of 13sts facing opposite directions so you can add a st or two between them.
