Pattern help again please...

Hi all!

I’m stuck on a section of this pattern and could use help. I’m knitting Storm Mountain here:

I’m ready to begin Set 3 and I can’t get started because I’m REALLY confused. Here is a photo (sorry, I know that’s not allowed sometimes but I couldn’t figure out how to show you where I was stuck)

So, first, there is the circled spot that says Work set 3 and it says for my size to do 12 rows.

Then it says to work the rest 2 rows of Set 3 once more

Then it says what SET 3 is
and then it says “repeat last 2 rows 3 times” for my size.

Here are my several questions:

  1. why does it say 10 rows for set 3? I’m knitting way way more than 10 rows. What am I missing?
  2. at the end of SET 3 it says “repeat last two rows 3 times”…is that part of the set? Do I do that before or after I knit where it says “then work the first 2 rows of SET 3 once more”

I just don’t understand the order of operations for this section. I think I struggled with this on section 2 as well and had to rip back several times so I’d like to avoid that this time.

Thank you!

The right section of the pattern isn’t showing in the scan so it makes it difficult to say what’s going on. Can you post at a lower resolution so that the entire scan shows?

Is this better?

Thanks so much. I’m so frustrated. I’ve been looking at it all day.

That might be too small. Hahaha

Let’s try one more time:

After working the initial pick up of sts at the underarms and the increases you’re to begin Set 3.
There is a little summary of Set 3 at the beginning where it says to Work Set 3 twelve times then finish with the first 2 rows.

What follows are the actual working directions for the 10 rows of Set 3. I labeled them 1,2,3 and 4. Then repeat rows 3 and 4 for three more times (rows 5-10)

Repeat Set 3 twelve times (10rows x 12) then finish with the first 2 rows of Set 3 (122rows total)

Thank you! That is a huge help.

So…Set 3 is 10 rows that I knit 12 times…THEN I knit the first two rows once more, correct? I just want to make sure I’m getting this right.

Thanks again!

Yes for your size, that’s how I read it.

Awesome! I can get started again! I appreciate your help! Thank you!
