Patons Shawl...need help w/ pattern

Hi everyone…I’m new…to the site and to knitting. I’m working this pattern and am to the last part of the instructions but am a little confused.

I don’t understand what it means by “Cast off 3 sts beg every row to 3 sts”. I’ve completed the shawl up until this point but am stuck. Any help would be much appreciated!

They want you to cast off 3 stitches at the beginning of every row until you have three stitches left. Then you knit those final three together.
