P2 tog tbl

Can someone tell me either how to do this stitch or where i can find a video that will show me how to do it?

It’s as if you were purling 1 st through the back loop, only doing 2 sts. It takes a bit of maneuvering the needles, they’ll be at an odd angle. Look at the videos under decrease under Basic techniques, or the Glossary page.

I’ve found that when I p2tog-tbl it twists the sts. I prefer to ssp instead.

slip 2 sts knitwise, one at a time from the LH needle to the RH needle, slip them back to the LH needle in the turned position, then purl them together through the back loop.

When I do a P 2tog tbl I actually turn the work around so the back side is facing me, then I insert the right hand needle into the two stitches at once (2nd stitch from the end first, then the one nearest the end) moving the needle tip from right to left. At that point I turn the work back around so the right side if facing me, yarn around the right hand needle and finish purling the 2 stitches together from there.
