Thanks.
Heh, no I don’t think they’d grow in Ohio. I’m not sure they’d even do well here, but he’s gotta plant every seed he comes across. We live on a tiny 6000 sq ft lot n a 2000 sq ft house and it’s a jungle…sorta. Okay maybe an organized jungle… sort of a tropical one since we have a bazillion palm trees. :roflhard:
I think that people should have to check with their neighbors before they cut down trees.
I had written a big ol’ tree-huggin post prepared when the electricity went out at work. Basically, I said the tree was there first, and people are not the only beings in the universe.
nevermind
When my kids were young, we planted our Christmas trees–at least 10. They now are beyond enormous. We had to stop because we ran out of room–wanted to keep some lawn.
My neighbor cut down several willows a few years ago. I was so sad. My daughter left them an anonymous note in their mailbox as if she were someone who drove by everyday. I hope it’s because the roots were getting into their well/septic. If they did it because willows are messy–that would be a travesty. I don’t think I want to know.
The tree is officially gone. All that is left is a huge trunk sticking straight up in the air that looks ridiculous. It can’t look worse than an overgrown pine. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it. He needs to just get rid of the trunk completely.

Here is what is left of the big, beautiful tree:

Now, somebody tell me that looks better than this:

Take a look at the Google ads at the bottom of the page.
Somebody’s watching!
That stump looks ridiculous! I hope they’re embarrassed by it.
