Good thoughts and prayers for both you and the big boy.

size may seem like a big deal now but what they really need to be worried about is his lungs, are they developed enough to breath room air. You don’t want him to have to go to the NICU to be on oxygen because you were induced b/c the doctors say he’s big. I had my son 3 weeks early and he weighed 5# 13oz. my little girl was 4 weeks early and she only weighed 5 lbs. Both came early because I was already dialated 5 and 6 cm. My son was fine, came home with us the next day and my daughter had to stay in the NICU for 11 days because she had labored breathing…not fun to have to go home and leave a newborn in the hospital.
My thoughts and prayers are with all 3 of you. Good luck, let us know how things go.
The doctors won’t induce me before 37w, it’s just not their practice, unless bub is distressed. And even then, it would be via C-Sect most likely…
Just not much I can do until the next scan really…
And hoping they can get my fasting sugars under control… all the other ones are fine :S
Tia I just remembered something. My friend Christy kept hers under control by doing the less harsh phase of the Suzanne Sommers diet. Seems like I’ve read of others who did this as well. Worth looking into.
Have they sent you to a nutritionist?
Yeah… The Diabetes Centre at the hospital does all of that…
This morning’s fasting reading was under 5 (YAY!!)… so hopefully it was a thing my body needed to build up…
Best of luck to you and your family!
Yeha!!! So glad to hear all is going well for you and baby. I’m keeping everything crossed on my body that I can cross
Thinking of you and yours and prayers a plenty!!!
