Ot: happy halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Everyone at my office told me they were dressing up trying to trick me. They all came in dressed normally. Luckily I brought my costume rather than wearing it in. I’m rather disappointed because I LOVE Halloween. I LOVE dressing up. I might just dress up anyway. Wheres the shame in indulging your inner child once in a while?

Dress up anyway. Why not? DH has a gig tonight but I don’t know what to go as yet. I was thinking of taking a brown hat I previously knit and adding a white curly cue on top so I can go as a Hostess cupcake. (This is actually not an original idea – I saw it somewhere on the web.) I’m really short so most people will be able to see the top of my head without any problem.

Hey, have fun with it. I mean, a lot of places don’t even allow it so you might as well go for it.

I think the cupcake idea sounds cute!

Everyone have a wonderful Halloween! It is raining here so I am afraid the kids may not even get to trick or treat as it is coming down pretty hard at the moment. Hopefully it will clear up by evening so they can go. We are going over to dd’s and having dinner so we can see our grandson’s crazy costume. His parents are both IT people and he is going as some weird computer concept they came up with.

Happy Halloween! I’ve always LOVED halloween.

I’m going as a kitty.

I don’t think we’re really doing anything tonight though, since my boyfriend has to be up early for work.

Hehe! I informed them I was going to go be a good sport and dress up.

I’m a little kid. I am wearing my purple pajamas with kitties dressed in night gowns holding tea cups all over them and pink and blue socks. I put my hair up in pig tails and put blush on and added freckles. When someone asks me what I am I act shy and hold up 4 fingers and say I am “free” years old.

Good for you for being a good sport! Your costume sounds really cute!

I’m dressed up even though hardly anyone else is in my office. :verysad:

But I’m a penguin! :cheering:

And my coworker’s three sons are penguins, and his wife is bringing them in. (The baby is an egg. :teehee:) I can’t wait to see them.

I think I’m the only one who really dressed up. Since we had the option to just wear jeans, that’s what most people did.

:blooby:

That sounds sooooo cute!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

Who says we can’t have fun too, halloween is’nt just for the kids.

I have always loved halloween.

Awwww, nice to hear everyone dressing up!

I’m dressed up as a witch, for the first time. We have a black cat we got in late summer, so when the trick or treaters come to the door, I’m going to hold her in one arm as I give them their candy. I have a bowl of chocolate candies, and a bowl of “eyeball” candies. They’re totally gross, and totally awesome! :teehee:

By the way, if anyone else has a black cat: My neighbor was a vet tech, and she says don’t let your black cats out on Halloween, because kids can be mean to them. I’ve got Mia on a leash, so she doesn’t escape while we’re at the door.

I’m dressed up as a knitter… I’m going back to bed w/ my knit books and watch all the scary movies on tv… My cat is laying beside me and since my kids are over 1,200 miles away… pictures are the next best thing… enjoy all!

I’ve seen postings elsewhere that shelters won’t even adopt out black cats for at least the week of halloween, if not the whole month of october.

And I’ve read and heard far too many stories of the terrible things people have done (and still do! :x ) to cats on halloween.
