Opposite of SKPO

Hi there, I am in the middle of my first project, a scarf, and I need a bit of help. The pattern is the following:
Row 1: K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, *p5, k4, yo, k3,[COLOR=“Red”] sl 1, k1, psso[/COLOR], p5, k1,
yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows: Work each stitch as it appears on this side of work
(k the k sts and p the p sts). Purl yarn-over loops.
Row 3: K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, *p4, [COLOR=“red”]k2tog[/COLOR], k3, yo, k1, yo, k3,[COLOR=“red”] sl 1, k1, psso[/COLOR], p4, k1,
yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 5: K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo k1, *p3, k2tog, work (k3, yo) twice, k3, sl 1, k1, psso, p3, k1,
yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 7: K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, *p2, k2tog, k3, yo, k5, yo, k3, sl 1, k1, psso, p2, k1,
yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; repeat from * to end.
Row 9: K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1, *p1, k2tog, k3, yo, k7, yo, k3, sl 1, k1, psso, p1, k1,
yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; repeat from * to end.

My idea is in one moment to turn the pattern and start from row 9 and go back to 1. The question is what should I do when actually I need to increase on the red marked places, instead of decrease? Which is the best opportunity in this case?

I’m confused as to why you want to do this? I’m not sure that reversing it will even show since it’s lace. The back and the front will probably look pretty similar as it is.:??

Hi and thanks for the fast reply. I attached a pic to try to show what I mean. As you can see the pattern looks like <<<, so I would like to have <<<>>>> and continue till the end with >>>. It looks a bit strange from my explanation :aww: , but please take a look at the pic.
The idea is to have at the end when I put it around my neck on both sides <<<<<

Oh I see. The best way that I know to deal with this is to knit two halves and graft them together when you’re done. That’s a common way to do it. The grafting might be tricky, but it could be done and it’s at the back neck so it wouldn’t be as obvious.

I’d have to actually cast on and do it to figure out the other way I think…

Yes, just CO and work to the middle, then graft the 2 pieces. Working a lace pattern upside down is tricky because you have to inc instead of dec and vice versa and it doesn’t usually look the same.
