One skein mittens? is this possible?

Hubby went to michael’s a few weeks ago. asked him to get me some wool yarn. He came back with Patons classic wool but he only bought ONE skein.

I wanted to make some mittens but I’m not sure if this is possible with one 100g skein. any ideas? Maybe a hat would be better when you only have one skein?

Sure, there’s over 200 yards in the skein. If you don’t knit tight, on small needles, or use a cable pattern that uses more yarn, you’ll be fine, maybe even have some leftover. A hat would probably only take half a skein, and so would handwarmers.

Yep, I agree. I can usually get a hat and mittens or handwarmers out of one skein. I’ve squeezed them out of less yardage, for that matter.

I’ve also managed to get 2 scarves and a headband out of some sparkly nylon yarn by using big needles.

hmm…

What patterns would you guys recommend?
