One Ball of Yarn...Double Strand?

Hello,
My pattern calls for a total of 3 skeins of yarn and to use a double strand. I am at the point that I am almost finished with the first two skeins and have the one ball left. What is the best way to use a double strand from one ball?

Thanks!
Melissa

You could try working with both the inner and outer ends but that tends to cause the two strands to twist and curl. You can also unwind the last ball/skein halfway…making two balls.

Thanks Cam!
I thought someone might know of an easier way……I did measure out half the ball (with my swift- and then wound it with the ball winder), but what a PAIN! I can’t imagine doing this without the swift!
