I am in possesion on one ball of Noro yarn. I found it in my stash while I was going through it. I don’t remember if I bought it or if someone gave it to me, but, I would like to use it.
What should I/could I make with only one skein?
Thanks

What color/dye lot is it? I have one lonely skein of kureyon left over from a project, and if it’s the right color I’m sure it would love to join your skein. I don’t know the color number of mine off the top of my head, but you can see a picture of it on my ravelry page.
If you can’t find another, you could try a hat or cowl/neckwarmer.
Which Noro yarn is it? There’s a lot of them with different weights and yardage.

the ball doesn’t have a label so I don’t know what the color or dyelot is. It has red purple and blue hues in it. I was thinking about a hat (thx suzeeq), but, I wasns’t sure if it would be enough yarn.
If you use size 9 or 10s, you can stretch out the yardage so there’d be enough.
I think its Kureyon? I just looked at Noro yarn on Yarnmarket.com and it seems to look like what I have.
I buy all my yarn at AC Moore or Michaels, so I am not familiar with the fancy stuff.
If you’re not sure about the yardage…and if you want to make a hat, why not alternate skeins between your NORO and another solid color yarn of seemingly same weight?
I saw a pullover pattern in a NORO BOOK…this cool pullover had two rows NORO, two rows of solid color, two rows NORO, two rows of a solid color…etc.
It was an amazing outcome!
I looked on Ravelry and it looks like some people have made hats…most small, but some adult. Here’s a few ideas.
Could be kureyon, but probably not the same as the one I have. However, there seems to be a rash of people making a scarf from two different balls of kureyon, alternating every 2 rows. You could try that with your ball and mine, or with your ball and some other similar weight yarn that you already have.

What is the yardage? Check out One Skein WOnders at your library. They haev some really cool projects in there. I think they have had a couple more books since then including Luxury One Skein Wonders. There are a couple of gorgeous scarves that would be great for Noro.
Thank you to everyone who responded with suggestions. I ended up typing in Google “What to knit with one ball of Noro Yarn” and I came up with the following pattern for a hat.
http://strandinthehandpatterns.blogspot.com/2007/02/noro-kureyon-one-ball-wavy-gravy-hat.html
I knit it over the weekend and it came out beautiful. I wish I had a digital camera to take a picture so
Thanks again!!
Its too late for you but may be usefull to someone else. The Fake Fair Isle hat uses 1 Noro Kuryeon and 1 worsted weight. Its really easy, the free pattern can be found on Ravely or at www.spunkyeclectic.com
It’s just not fair to tease us with Noro and not show a picture. lol Can you take one with your phone?
Okay, I think I did this right, but, I am not sure the picture my phone took is any good.
I tried to take a picture with my phone, but, as you see it comes out so tiny that you can’t even see it. When I tried to re-size ot bigger, it was blurry.
I’ll see if I can’t get someone to take a picture for me.
