Not understanding how

Hi
I’m making a summer top and the pattern seems easy enough
k4,k2tog,knit to last 6 st sl 1 , k1, psso k4 but here’s where I get confused
Work 3 rows even. Repeat last 4 rows twice more. Can somebody please tell me how to do this in English (I find pattern lingo a little baffling!)
Thanks

The first row is the decrease row, then you work 3 rows plain. That the 4 rows. ‘Work even’ is used in patterns after decs or incs and means work in the stitch pattern (stockinette for this, I guess) without doing anymore decs/incs. You’re keeping the stitch number ‘even’ in the sense of ‘equal’, what it is after the decreases.

ok so row 5 is a repeat of the decrease row- and then 3 rows stockinette and row 9 would be decreasing again?? I just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly (it says repeat 2 times more)
Thanks

Yep, that’s how you do it. Remember to work 3 more rows after row 9 for the full 4 row repeat 2 more times.
