Northeast US Oddball Baby Blankets

I’m all done with Seaside Sunset! I used Bernat Softee Baby in “Rock a Bye Baby” and did a basketweave stitch.

Who’s up next?

I love that yarn…it’s so soft and fun to work with! cloud9

:teehee: Yes it is!

threesmom, pttalbott on rav is next for that blanket. Looks beee-yooo–teee–fulllll!

I’m happy to be a part of this and looking forward to getting my hands on my first blanket. Just email me when it’s time and I’ll send my address. If you have yarn available for me to use, I would appreciate receiving it, but if not, then I will pick it up one at a time at Michael’s using the 40% off coupon.

for autumn in the ne i did a stitch called Triangles that can be found here http://www.knittingonthenet.com/stitches/triangles.htm it looks different with the picture i took though so you might want to go by the picture on that website
it’s a good website with reversible patterns that are great for these blankets

good job with all the blankets!

I am FINALLY almost done with Lemon Drop.

gmmarton, you are next. Are you ready?

Special Delivery is DONE!!!

:woohoo: our first group-completed preemie blanket! Of course, we have the lovely blanket that mdc550 crocheted for us, but this is our first oddball blanket.

[spinningcrna](http://www.ravelry.com/people/Spinningcrna) knitted the final section, and was kind enough to add the border (which went above and beyond what she had signed up to do!).

Great job everyone!

Yes, I’m ready! Thanks!

Hi Northeasters!

I’ve FINALLY updated the blogs, with new pics and updated progress! :cheering:

It’s been a bit hectic around Chez Spikey, with family and work commitments, as I’m sure it has been for all of you! :passedout:

Enough excuses! The fantabulous gmmarton has taken it upon herself to start THREE, count 'em THREE, new worsted weight blankets!

Ladies and gentlemen, start your needles,:knitting::guyknitting: they are open for knitters:

Bubblegum (fun colors)
gmmarton
(needs 5 more knitters + a border)

Pumpkin Pie (pumpkin, pie crust, and fall colors)
gmmarton
(needs 5 more knitters + a border)

Forest Greens (all greens and variegated with green)
gmmarton
(needs 5 more knitters + a border)

Who’s in?

I’m in!

are these preemie or baby?

Sign me up for borders, unless you have others knocking down doors to crochet them for you! That preemie blanket turned out so nice! Imagine a tiny little baby all snuggled under it, wrapped up in all the love that was knitted (and crocheted) into it. What a wonderful thing this is! I’m so glad I can be part of it.

These three will be worsted weight baby blankets.

i’ve got colors for Bubblegum and/or Forest Green - I"d be happy to help.

By Tuesday, I’ll have Seaside Sunset and Jersey Devil ready for mailing!

I have the green section of the Premie Pastel Rainbow done. I just need to weave in my ends. Who’s next? I’ll have to go look at the blog.

You’ve got it. You’ll be second on both. :knitting:

Thanks! cloud9

LHFBM is next, but she’ll be away 10/17 to 10/19. She was kind enough to inform us so that our little blankets would not sit out in the weather, or be stolen by a critter looking for warmth.

If you can get it to her by the 16th, go ahead and send it. But if you don’t think it will get there by then, please wait, so it will arrive on or after the 20th.

Thanks! :muah:

could you add me to forest green?
thanks!

Spikey~I’ll wait until Monday the 20th to mail it out. Even though it would probably only take one day, I don’t want to take the chance of it being delayed for some reason.

You’ve got it! You are knitter #3.

Thanks! :happydance:
