No power for 3 Days

We lost our power Wednesday Night and didn’t get it back till Saturday evening. That is why I was not on this site for a few days.

I’m thankful you have power again. Many, many people have been without along with all the damage to everything.

I am so glad that we got our power back. No way to cook with power out, food in freezer stayed frozen but we finally got the generator going and had the freezer and fridge plugged into it. Then we were able to run an electrical cord to a fan .

Glad so hear you have power again an you’re back. Stay strong.

There were units from the DC area sent to Florida and North Carolina ahead of the storms and after to help restore power. I don’t know if you are in either state, Daylily but I’m glad to hear that you’ve got power back! Hope you, your family and neighbors are safe and well.

I live in Lakeland Fl . Lakeland is 4o miles from Tampa in the west and 60 miles from Orlando in the east along I4. The upper edge of the eye of the storm went over Polk County which Lakeland is in. Schools here will b closed both Monday and Tuesday due to the loss of power at some of the schools and some of the staff has their own problems from the storm, so they aren’t able to get back to work.

Hope things get back to normal and soon. We have relatives in Naples and Fort Myers who seem to have come through safe and sound with loss of power and minimal damage.

Thanks God you and yours are OK. Losing power is not good but according to all is the best deal. Im up north in Ohio, we got some bad times too but nothing compared to you. Stay safe, hughs.

We had no damage to our house that we could see. But the water in the school yard retention pond is draining off through our side yard and neighbor’s yard. The ground is so saturated that we will not walk in it. There are reports of some sinkhole activity caused by the storm out in the Kathleen area of Lakeland. There are still gas stations that are still closed due to no fuel.

I hope that this clears up and that you’ve had your “big” hurricanes for the season. You’re right to be careful and stay safe.
