Hi I’m slowly losing patience here and need some help! pattern starts on 7 sts then says "increase into every stitch (14 sts) - i have done this and no matter what I do i only end up with 13 days - eternally grateful for any advice

Which pattern are you making and which increase are you using? I would suggest one like the knit front and back (kfb) or the neater kfb shown here:

Hey thank you! I have attached a photo of the pattern. This is my first project after knitting lots of practice squares 
. I will give this increase a go and hopefully it will work better
