Hi I’m new here. I both knit and crochet. I’m completely addicted to sock knitting but at the moment I’ve had to stop both as I’m waiting to have surgery on my thumbs due to arthritis

Socks make wonderful, easy to carry around projects and they are so addictive. Sorry to hear about the thumb surgery but I hope it won’t be too long before you’re back to knitting and crochet.

Oh Joyce, I feel for you, being unable to knit for a time is awful.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I’m seeing the consultant on next Wednesday and hopefully he can give me a date for surgery then. I no it will be a while before I can get back to knitting. I just hope the surgery works I’m in constant pain at the moment and pain relief in any shape or form doesn’t help.
