Needle problem

I’ve got a pattern for arm warmers that I want to make a friend for her birthday but the pattern calls for two 8" circular needles size US 6 (4mm). I’ve looked everywhere but I can’t find anywhere that sells them.

Does anyone know of any stockists or an alternative?

Please help!

I believe such short circular needles are a rarity. You can just use a set of US 6 double points. Some people don’t like double points and if so you could use a long cable needle size 6 and do the Magic Loop method. Amy has videos on both methods on this site for circular knitting.

Needles that short are hard to find and a pain to work with, I’ve read. You can use 1 long needle or 2 regular ones and use the methods shown on the Advanced techniques page for knitting a small diameter.

If they’re telling you to use two circs, the length shouldn’t matter with that technique and some that are longer would probably be easier to work with anyway. If you can find a pair of 16" that should work.
