Need some advice.. Why is this curling?

I am working on a Raglan wrap and I have started to work on a second part of the knitting and it seems to me that it is curling and that all the stitches (knit and purl) make it seem like there are all the purl types on the same side and the knit on the wrong side. It just seems weird to me. The directions are:

Next Row: (RS)K1, purl to last st, K1
Next Row: P1, knit to last st, P1
Repeat last 2 rows 14 times

I have now only done this 2 times but its curling and I am worried. Any help or advice would be great! Thanks!

It’s primarily in stockinette, 1 st each edge in rev stockinette doesn’t do much to stop the curling. But if those edges are going to be seamed, or a border knit on later, it should be alright. And it may turn out that’s a design feature too.

Yes it is the back piece of the garment. Thank you so much. This is my first big venture into knitting other than basic scarves so I am still a bit nervous! Just learning as the stitches go on! Again thanks for the advice!
