Hi Everyone,
I know someone here must have a link to a lace scarf pattern! I need to whip up a scarf really quick for a gift.
Thanks!

How about this? It is fast and pretty.
Do you have Last Minute Knitted Gifts? Their Airy Scarf knits up pretty quickly and is very pretty.
The “Hearts” scarf from knitty is pretty, and only took me about 3 hours!
Scroll down to find it!
Do you have Mason Dixon Knitting? it has a scribble scarf that is knit with largish needles very similar to this one:

It’a a bit wider, but basically the same.
And if you don’t have either of the books, look in your library. Most of them have these or can get them on loan for you.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
I was thinking something that could be worn as an accessory type scarf. The person I want to give this to is in her early 60’s, loves earthy colors.
The Lala Scarf from Greetings from Knit Cafe is a cute “accessory” type of scarf. It did not take me long and I think came out quite pretty and unusual. I have also made several of the Airy Scarf from LMKG and they really are a very quick knit.
Right now I am working on a 24 sts (wide) scarf in an alpaca/silk blend that has a boucle texture. I am knitting it in the Dojo stitch which is used in a cardigan in Twinkle’s Big City Knits. It is a very easy 2 row repeat, but I think really highlights my yarn.
I got all of these books at the library.
Attached a pic of my LaLa Scarf.

If you are in a hurry, try knitting garter stitch on needles MUCH bigger than recommended on the labl, my friend said that my blanket in this looked like difficult lace and looked nothing like garter! You could do it on medium wool and 15 - 25 mm needles. Or Google ‘free lace knit pattern’, or check out Knitty. com and knittingpatterncentral.com
