Hello, I am currently knitting striped sleeves for a jumper and I am lost… if somebody could help me out that would be great.
M = white colour yarn
C = green colour yarn
“ Using C, work 2 rows. Using M, work 12 rows, inc 1 st at each end of 3rd and foll 6th row. 53 sts.
Last 14 rows form striped st st (stockinette st).
Cont in striped st st (stockinette st), shaping sides by inc 1 st at each end of 3rd and every foll 6th row to 69 sts, then on every foll 8th row until there are 73 sts.
Cont in striped st st (stockinette st) until the 7th stripe using C has been completed.”
My understanding is this;
49 sts to start:
So I do row 1,2 using C.
Change to M, do row 3,4
Row 5 - inc 1 st at each end (51sts)
Row 6,7,8,9,10 using M
Row 11 - inc 1 st at each end (53 sts)
Do row 12,13,14
————these 14 rows form stripe ————
Row 15,16 using C.
Change to M, do row 17,18
Row 19 - inc 1 st at each end (55sts)
Row 20,21,22,23,24
Row 25 - inc 1 st at each end (57sts)
Row 26,27,28
Change to C, do row 29,30
Change to M, Row 31 - inc 1 st at each end (59 sts)
Row 32,33,34,35,36
Row 37 - inc 1 st at each end (61 sts)
Row 38,39,40,41,42
Using C, Row 43 - inc 1 st at each end (63 sts)
Row 44
Using M, Row 45,46,47,48
Row 49 - inc 1 st at each end (65 sts)
Carry on like this until 69 sts and once i reached 69sts, i count 8th row and inc 1 st at each end of every 8th row until it counts 73 sts?
If I am wrong please do correct me. I am so confused as I am changing colours of yarn during the process.

The pattern is called men’s breton sweater. If i have any other questions, i ll write in a column. Now i can continue my knitting!
