Need help with slanted rows

When I knit in the round all my rows are slanted… I will try to attach a picture to show you what I mean but I am not sure why it is happening any suggestions or advice.
I usually knit mirror-knitting continental but it also happens when I throw my yarn too.

It might not even be you. It could be the yarn. It all depends on how it’s spun and balanced.

it has happened with other yarns on other projects too.

Not sure what you mean by mirror-knitting continental. The picture looks like it’s at an angle as it is. So it’s hard to see the problem you speak of. Are your stitches twisted? Are you a picker when you continental knit or a scooper? If you’re knitting in the round and you’re a picker, it will seat the stitches on the needles differently. You’ll be knitting through the back loops of the stitches rather than the front leg (if you did this it would twist the stitch).

There was just an article in KnitPicks catalog that showed if you twist your stitches, they will lean to the left a bit.

I have never had this problem, until my current project which is ribbed in the round. My ribs are spiraled right now, but I am just going to assume that after I block it will be fine.

It looks like your stitches may be twisted… easy to do if you are knitting mirror-image and conti. And stocking stitch done flat.

I just saw this over on Knitpicks…you may be twisting your stitches by knitting through the back loops.

It’s at the bottom of the page.

I honestly do not twist my stitches, so there must be another explanation.
