I’ve ripped out hte yoke and I watched a video for front to back increases on each side of the markers. I like the way that looks better than th m1L and M1R. Has anyone had experience with a reglan and the front and back increases? I have knit raglans before and not had this trouble!
Good morning!
I am knitting the Winter Bluff sweater pattern by Ashley Little: Free Knit Raglan Sweater Pattern + Tutorial | The Winter Bluff Pullover — Ashley Lillis
I should have stopped some time ago but didn’t. Is there a way to fix the raglan holes without having to rip the entire yoke out? I have added some photos. See the closed increase? That’s the seam, the other three are open and I wonder if I can fix them to match the seam.
The sweater looks quite nice. What is the difference in how the closed and open seams were worked?
It may be that washing will even out the increases but I’m sure you don’t want to put in all the work finishing the sweater only to find the result unacceptable. When something like this bothers you and you know how to correct it, better to rip out now than press on, painful though it may be.
I’ve used kfb for raglans, particularly the improved kfb on alternate increase rounds. Both work quite nicely. It’s not my favorite increase but it does look consistent and neat.
Thanks so much. I did rip out the yoke, referred to several of my old sweater patterns and decided on the KFB increase. You are so right about knitting the entire seater wondering if blocking will help only to find out that it doesn’t. Very Pink is my favorite go to for help! Thanks again!
Hello again. This may just be me but is the designer referring to the front and sleeves of the sweater as it faces you and not what the sleeves actually are? Thank you

I’ve never knitted a top down that had you face the sweater to you. I was used to the actual sleeve placement when worn. But I’ve only knit about five top down sweaters so I don’t know. It did confuse me.
