I am knitting a top. I have not the front and the back side. I am at the point of creating the armholes and I do not understand the instructions,
I am attaching photos of the font and back side (which are identical). I am also attaching the instructions.
Can someone please help me ? I would greatly appreciate any help.

This is going to be a very pretty top.
Which size are you making?
For the smallest size for example, with the RS facing, begin the row by binding off 8sts then work to the end of row turn and bind off 8sts then finish the row. That’s rows 1 and 2.
For rows 3 and 4, bind off 4sts at the beginning of each row.
For rows 5 and 6, bind off 2sts at the beginning of each row.
For rows 7 and 8, bind off 1 stitch at the beginning of each row.
The neck shaping may go on at the same time as this armhole shaping but it will be easier to explain that knowing the size that you’re making. Basically you’ll be working the two shoulders with 2 different balls of yarn according to the pattern.

Thank you. So does the post above help at all or are the instructions still confusing? Sometimes it helps to draw a rough diagram of the decreases at the armhole then check them off as you work them. Keeps you on track and gives you a visual of the armhole shaping.
