I’m still fairly new to knitting and have a baby blanket that I don’t like the edges on. So I want to finish it with satin all around. Not sure what to do. A little help please?

I found these instructions. http://www.ehow.com/how_4671809_sew-satin-border-knit-blanket.html
If your blanket will machine wash, tumble dry then I would dry the fabric I’m using in the dryer before I cut it for the edge. Drying will shrink it if it’s going to shrink. If your blanket won’t go in the dryer then air drying will be fine.
Have you considered a pick up and knit or a crochet border? You might like it and then you’re less likely to have puckering where the border and blanket meet - and no seaming. Just a thought, not saying it’s what you should do.
I don’t know how to crochet. What’s a pick up and knit border?
You could try this out, ask for help as needed, and decide if it’s what you want. The satin edge is a great idea so if it’s what you want you should do it.
Yeah, I think I really want a satin edge. Thanks for your help!
