Hi,
I have a question on a Split Hem. Per my instructions:
Row 1: Knit to side marker, TURN WORK.
Row 2: K3, p to 3 sts before BOR marker, k3.
I am knitting in the round. If I would do as instructed to knit to side marker and turn work. I then have my working yarn on the left needle instead of the right…thus, how do I knit???
I’m knitting the Super Simple Summer Sweater by Joji Locatelli.
Thank you so much!!!
Nice!
When you knit flat (back and forth) you turn at the end of the row and begin the next row. The yarn is at the tip of the left needle. It’s going to be the same situation with this turn to knit the split hem. Turn at the marker, just as you would at the end of a row.
Is it this one? If so, as it’s a paid for pattern, I’m not able to read this - but maybe someone else has a copy they’ve purchased and will be able to help.
To me it reads as if you will work x amount of rows knitted flat - k to side marker, turn your work ( so the inside is facing you) K3, purl to 3sts before beginning of round marker, K3.
I guess after you do this for both back and front ( it is only a couple of inches at most going by the photos) you will eventually join together and begin working in rounds. Maybe read the pattern a bit further on to see if this is what they say to do.
As I say, this is only a best guess and hopefully someone else will be able to help that has or is familiar with this pattern.
Best of luck with it,
Linda
