Need help finding sock pattern

I’m looking far and wide for a cute sock pattern for a 2 1/2 yr old monster. Err…girl. :o)

All I seem to find are patterns for either babies, or kids 6-8 years old. (As if toddler-age to 5-year-olds don’t wear socks?!?)

I don’t want to do a terribly plain sock for her, because she’s not terribly plain; although she IS a pain. So, the idea of a cute cuff pattern is what I want, but can’t find any.

Oh, and since I only have one miserably failed toe up attempt to my name, I’d prefer cuff down.

Anybody know of good pattern sites I can look at?

Here’s a listthat should help you find something. Your CO should be about 36-44 sts for sock or fingering weight yarn.

You can adapt lace patterns for knitting in the round. But the easiest way to make a cute cuff, I think, is to use yarn that will please the monster, er, little girl. :teehee: Maybe a bright cuff, heel and toe, with white or contrasting color sock body.

Yarn Lady, Thanks so much for that SOCK SITE!
I’ll get a lot out of it. I have been looking for something like this. :cheering:

I pulled my head out of my derierre’ (sp?) and realized I could make a sock from other patterns (duh). So, I modified a lace pattern I used for me, got the measurements of her little monster foot, and came up with what looks like an adorable sock for an adorable creature. I’m using up the last of my Anne Schaefer “Powder Puff” yarn, and hope it turns out as beautiful as I envision it.

And, I’m hoping the bright pink, lacey sock will transform her from a monster into a princess. (One can always hope.)

I saved the links for future reference, and can’t thank you’s enough for your help!

Thanks for the great links for the socks, saved them so I can try some when I get around to trying socks.
