You’d think it would be easy, but I just can’t seem to find a scarf pattern I like. I have some Cascade Venezia 70% wool 30% silk. 5 sts per inch on size 7 needles.
I would like to make a scarf for my sister, but can’t seem to find anything. I’ve checked knitting pattern central and the free patterns on ravelry.
Does anyone have recommendations for a scarf they just LOVE?
My sister is 38 and dresses trendy/classic. (if that makes sense)
I’m not sure if it’s what you’re looking for, but I’m making Gigi out of Romantic Hand Knits by Annie Modesitt. The yarn they use in for the pattern in the book is silk, but I think the your you’re using might work just fine. I’m using a completely different yarn and it’s coming out fine too. You may have to play with how many repeitions of the pattern you do across to get the width you like but I’m finding it an interesting scarf to make.
They use Tilli Tomas Disco Lights in the pattern… personally, I didn’t want to pay that much and am just going to sew sparkly stuff into the scarf when I’m done to make it a bit more fun.
Anyway, it’s not free… but it is a pattern that could go trendy or classic depending on the yarn you use and any embellishments you make to it.
