need help don’t understand the pattern instructions

Hi, I need help.
I am knitting a baby kimono jumpsuit from little french knits (florence merlin).
i dont understand the instructions for the left leg: pearl to end of row, cut yarn and leave leg stitches waiting…do i just leave everything on the needle and start the right leg on the same needles??

also, reading ahead, i don’t understand how to join the 2 legs by creating 2 stitches in the center. 2 stitches in the center of the right and left leg? which side?

Hello
What a cute outfit.

If the legs are knit flat and seamed you can probably leave the first one on the needle and just ignore it whilst you work the second. I’d probably prefer to put it into a stitch holder, or spare cable needle with stoppers on, or a length of yarn to use as a stitch holder. Then it’s out of the way whilst making the second leg. When it says cut yarn, leave 10 to 15 cm tail of yarn to weave in later.

When it comes to joining the two legs it likely makes more sense when it’s on the needles. There are some good pics by another knitter here, although no notes, but even so they seem very helpful

And you can come and ask if you’re stuck a that point.

i see now! thank you so much!!
