Hi, am looking to make a fair isle hat for a friend, I have 3 colours - one main colour and 2 for the pattern. I’m struggling to find a pattern that looks easy enough for a beginner as I’ve never tried fair isle before, can anyone help please?
Have you tried an advanced search on Ravelry? You can tailor the search to yarn weight, needles etc.

I’m going to post these other patterns here because they are fun and while they look like fair isle they aren’t…they are mosaic knitting! I have these two in my favorites. Just something to think about next time.

Sorry Jan! I’m using a regular DK weight (yarn brand is called Knitting Basics and recommended needle size is 4-5mm needles 
I didn’t know about mosaic knitting so will have a looksie at those patterns.
