My first socks

My first socks - cuff-down. They aren’t perfect but I am happy with how they turned out.

I used Tin Can Knits free pattern for Rye Socks and Pro Lana Classic 100 yarn. I changed the heel and used heel stitch rather than stockinette.

Going to start another pair today. This time I am going to try a toe-up with Patons Kroy Socks FX yarn

They look perfectly lovely (and addictive). Can’t wait to see the second pair!

Thank you. I think I am already addicted . I have knit 8 rows on the second pair already. I chose the Turbo Toes pattern because I wear holes in my socks very quickly - I also get holes in my running shoes in the toes if they have a mesh top. Hopefully these socks will really be indestructible.

Lovely socks and they look like they fit well. And you used heel stitch! So many knitters think they must always do exactly what the pattern says to and never stray. Their loss. While no sock is truly indestructible the Turbo Toes look like they should last better than stockinette.

They look perfect to me.
As I’ve said many times before, socks are beyond me, I admire anyone able to make a sock.

Enjoy your second pair.
